File under G for Gecko

There must be nicer ways to die than being squished between the pages of a sketchbook. I guess it was warm and dark at the time, but I have no idea how Mr Gecko actually managed to climb between the pages in the first place, nor how the little bits of gecko found themselves around him like a bunch of blowies round a bit of road kill.

What they are exactly, and how they dispersed themselves remains a rather spooky mystery!

Sebastian Nine Months - not eight like last time!

So last month I lied about his age! (apparently), having been in trouble for getting his age wrong, and not wiping his face before publishing the pics, I thought it was time to make amends!

This time he really is nine months old, and standing. Hitting the link will get you to the flickr gallery.

Sebastion at nine months!

It seems that photographing the little fella has been even more sporadic than usual, but here he is again. The links take you to his Flickr Album.

Studio Easel

Finally finished a new easel so I can muck around with bigger stuff. All from salvaged material, which explains the imperfections in the timber, with knobs turned from a bit of red gum burl donated by a friend!

Ken's new bench

After years of living in an apartment, K & D have moved into a house again, so to mark the occasion I thought I'd get rid of some old construction hardwood cluttering up the boatshed, by building a new workbench for their garage.

Don't ask me what species the timber is, but it's quite hard, and looks lovely at the moment in its new wax livery. Can't wait to see the first scratch appear!

At four months the little bloke looks nothing like he does in this pic, but I like it so I post it!
